Vision
There is much to share from Ferris State University, but I want to focus on two historic steps this fall. Our school year began in memorable fashion with the opening of North Hall, our first new residence hall in 50 years, adding an exciting dimension and visual dynamic to campus. This innovative project contains shared spaces for classrooms, group study and recreation unlike anything previously available in our housing facilities. Coupled with its central location near the Arts and Sciences Commons, FLITE Library and University Center, North Hall will be well received by new and prospective students for years to come.
In November we took another historic step, announcing the first-ever comprehensive campaign in Ferris State University’s history. Now & Always, the campaign theme, reflects our commitment to students and their future. With your help supporting critical academic, scholarship, facility and athletic efforts, we will provide students and faculty even more opportunity for programmatic excellence, leadership development, advancement and success.
Please take time to read “Now & Always: The Campaign for Ferris State University” (page 10). Imagine with me the transformative effect this will have for our students at Ferris State University. Together we will create a foundation of scholarship support never experienced at Ferris, helping our hard-working students who need this so very much. With your help we will support our faculty and ensure state-of-the-art programs, enhancing Michigan’s future by creating the talent base our state and region need. And, we will proudly honor our founders’ vision of producing outstanding citizens: people who make the world a better place.
This is critically important work, and the time for action is now. But we cannot achieve this dream without you. I invite you to become a part of this exciting moment.
