Crimson and Gold
Fall is always an exciting time on the Ferris State University campus. From the first day of classes and first home athletic games to our Founder’s Day, Homecoming and Fall Reunion activities, our campus is simultaneously filled with the energy of new beginnings and a sense of time-honored traditions.
This is the energy that drives Now & Always: The Campaign for Ferris State University. You have probably noticed that we’ve mentioned it a lot in this edition of the magazine; it’s because the campaign is that important. In the past months, I have had the privilege of being involved in the coordination and launch of Now & Always, and I have seen first-hand just how essential its initiatives will be in continuing Ferris’ tradition of providing students with a high-quality education so that they enter the workforce job-ready.
At the heart of our institutional values is the idea that education is for everyone—as founder Woodbridge N. Ferris said, “for all of the people all of the time.” Ferris continues to grow because we all have something to learn and something to share.
The same is true of giving to support this campaign. Whether you can make a major gift, any gift, or just want to volunteer your time or connect us to others by spreading the word, we can put your support to great use. Please contact us at alumnioffice@ferris.edu to let us know how you want to be involved. We want everyone to have the great feeling that comes with knowing that they were a part of this next step forward for Ferris State University.
As we make this step together, I hope that you will follow our progress at ferris.edu/giving, where you can learn more about ways to give and how campaign funds will be used to support our students and your alma mater. And, as always, if you’re interested in our many great activities and resources for alumni, please visit ferris.edu/alumni.
We wish you all the best this holiday season and hope to hear from you soon!
Sincerely,
Jeremy Mishler (EHS ’96, ’98 and ’99)
